11/6 Space Mountain, Christmas Decorations at the Magic Kingdom

Hi everyone!

The Magic Kingdom was nearly fully decorated for Christmas yesterday (nothing was yet up in Toontown).  Space Mountain was also testing in the full darkness, it looks great!  I was not able to get any video of it, they stopped the testing right after we did one ride.   We have several videos of the Christmas decorations as well as of Space Mountain!

More Christmas decorations around the park follow. The lighting was harsh at different times in different places, so I moved about Main Street quite a bit during the time I was there – the photos are from morning until night.  Where Roy and Minnie had been in Town Square is now the location of two small Christmas trees (for Photopass photographers to shoot through). I also have a short update from November 5th with more photos!  BTW – word is that the Epcot Lights of Winter may not make an appearance this year. 🙁  I’ve heard it from several sources and it’s on the internet now, but I hope Disney reconsiders!

 

 

 

Mickey’s Christmas Carol returns as the window display theme this year (after a number of years away).  This is a great display, though I don’t know why it’s called Mickey’s Christmas Carol when Scrooge appears to be the star – maybe I just need to see the film!
