11/15 – Space Mountain and Grand Floridian Gingerbread House

Hi everyone!

I had the chance to ride Space Mountain yesterday (3 times).  It isn’t much different than before, I actually thought it’d be a lot darker than it was.  But it’s still one of my favorite attractions, as it has been for 30 years.

Before the Space Mountain photos, I’m putting up a couple of pictures of the giant Mickey Head currently at the side of the Contemporary for Christmas.  It is a nice touch for the holidays, though I do miss the red and green lights that used to be added to the Contemporary each year.

 

On to Space Mountain.  Again, it didn’t seem much different – more stars, just a tad darker and the queue area is enclosed now.  I actually liked being able to see the People Mover from the queue and the awaiting riders in the queue line while on the ride, but it’s not a big change to me either way.  The ride is still fun and I’m glad it’s open. 

 

 

There is a video game to play while waiting in a portion of the queue (similar to Asteroids).  We do have video here !
