8/31 Space Mountain, Best Friends, Fort Wilderness Update

Hi everyone!

We went to ride Space Mountain with the new music yesterday – and while I was underwhelmed by it, we have plenty of video and audio for you to see and hear (so you can decide for yourself!)

We also had stopped by the new Best Friends Pet Resort a couple of days ago to get some photos, and a couple of other kennels before their closure.

I’d been up at 6 yesterday morning and wasn’t really planning to run out anywhere in the evening – but all the great reviews of the new Space Mountain soundtrack changed our minds.

Space Mountain from the Grand Floridian:

The ride isn’t ruined for me with the addition of the music – but it isn’t enhanced either.  I likened it to a “planetary disco”, though I’d prefer something non-techno or no sound whatsoever.  There are some “whoosh” noises that are fine.  The one thing I did really like was that the ride seemed faster with the music turned on.  I’d have liked to have seen synched music, no matter what style they chose (and audio in the cars).
