6/30/11 – Interview with the Artist SHAG (Includes Photos at Walt Disney World Signings)

Jeff thought it'd be nice to share a few photos from our Palm Springs store visit as well. We were wanting to visit the historic Smoketree Ranch (we forgot to call them ahead and it was too late), after having just left the mouth of a dinosaur in Cabazon. Jeff saw the gallery first, saying "hey, it's a Shag store". I thought he must be mistaken, perhaps it was a carpet store – but it was Shag's recently open gallery. We didn't spend much time that day in Palm Springs, but that was the highlight of it! There is a chair with a small, orange shag carpet (as Shag has in his studio, though it's not a black "supervillain" chair! There were some props like a straw hat, but I was the only one who didn't use any for my photo. And the merchandise was split maybe 50/50 Disney and non-Disney at that time. There were really nice Shag Disney purses I'd not seen before, as well a nice assortment of other items (I didn't include everything here).
