9/26 Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Construction Update: Lights in Rooms, Finding Nemo Characters

Hi everyone!

I teased a few photos from this update last night, I'm sharing the rest now! We almost didn't make it to see the Art of Animation progress yesterday due to the rain, but I'm glad we did anyway! If we'd stopped by during the day, we'd not have seen lights on in some of the rooms.

The finding Nemo buildings are still the furthest along, though the Cars buildings have had a lot of progress since our last visit. We showed up while it was raining outside and a bit dark – which actually was good for looking into the windows. I wasn't expecting to see lights on in the rooms, and fixtures (well, sinks!)

It's really exciting for me to see the resort so far along, after so many years of staying at the Pop Century Resort and seeing the former project that was meant to be the Pop Century Legendary Years. I am glad that never came to fruition, I'm not sure it'd have been as popular as a more current time period.

Looking towards the Cars section, where you can see the "Wagon Wheel", along with lit rooms:

 

 

 

There is so much color on the Finding Nemo buildings, along with 3D fish and coral! There also are now black and white animated drawings of characters on one of the wings facing the Pop Century Resort, and many more are still to be added.
