12/19 Giggle Gang Clown Troupe and Royal Majesty Makers in New Fantasyland Entertain Crowds

Hi everyone!

There are two new entertainment groups that debuted with New Fantasyland – the Storybook Circus Giggle Gang clown troupe, and the Royal Majesty Makers, who perform just outside the walls of New Fantasyland.

The Storybook Circus Giggle Gang caused quite a controversy on Twitter (and elsewhere) when the act was announced. I'm not clown phobic, but I know others who are – and I often tend to think of clowns as more scary than silly.

So – with that in mind, we found the Giggle Gang starting their show as we walked through Storybook Circus. You can see the whole video of the show here. We both thought it was surprisingly fun! Apparently there are several different shows, this one included a band known as the Silly Saxtet – also in clown outfits – which reminded me of the Firehouse Five Plus 2. The gist of the show was that the Giggle Gang wanted to play a trick on the band, but by the end they had joined it.

A video I saw of another show included a lot of audience interaction, with guests being pulled up to be part of the act. This show didn't have that. All the clowns, including the band, are very talented. I recommend at least stopping by and checking out one of the shows! They did draw a huge crowd on the busy day we were there. Here are photos from the show:

The other new entertainment group is the Royal Majesty Makers. Disney says about them, "The Royal Majesty Makers engage boys and girls in random acts of “royaldom,” endowing them with the skills to become princes and princesses. These royal consultants, official ambassadors of Cinderella’s court, inspire and delight visiting villagers with magical moments throughout the land."

It is definitely a show geared towards kids. Check out our video here!

It's always nice to see live entertainment in the Magic Kingdom! What are your thoughts on the two groups?
