1/24 Long Lost Friends – Limited Time Magic w/Ludwig Von Drake, Big Bad Wolf, Scrooge McDuck & More!
Hi everyone!
Mousesteps was down for a couple of days as we moved to a new server, but we are back up with a new update! Long Lost Friends Week started on Monday at the Magic Kingdom, and we were there to cover it.
We also have two videos (as well as Jeff's article that includes many vintage character photos from his trips 30+ years ago!)
Scrooge McDuck isn't exactly long-lost, as he is around each Christmas. We met him at Fort Wilderness on Christmas Eve and at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. But Ludwig Von Drake hasn't been available for meet & greets in quite some time, so it was nice to see them together! All of the characters were hugely popular on Monday, it was nice to see so many guests interested in them (even though I heard Scrooge McDuck called "Donald" several times). One of my Twitter friends, Taylor, suggested we try to offer Scrooge some money. Scrooge isn't into dollar bills, he only deals in gold. 🙂
The Three Little Pigs with the Big Bad Wolf:
Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar:
The Robin Hood group – Robin Hood, Friar Tuck, Sheriff of Notthingham and Prince John:
There was an introduction of the characters as they returned from break, here they are arriving with their signs:
Pinocchio, Gepetto and Jiminy Cricket aren't long-lost, but they had a long line!
I took this photo from the Main Street Train Station, you can see the large crowds for the characters!
Each character set had a sign that said who they were.
Here are more photos of the characters leaving (and then arriving again), along with one more photo of Jeff with Scrooge McDuck and Ludwig Von Drake!
Remember to check out our videos and Jeff's article here!
This was a great meet & greet opportunity, I hope the popularity of it bodes well for more unique meet & greets in the future. There are so many characters that Disney could offer! And I'm not sure if I'll enjoy many other "Limited Time Magic" offerings as much as I did this one – I think Disneyland is getting the best of Limited Time Magic, but we'll see how 2013 shapes up!
