Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights Makeup Demonstration with Larry Bones and John Murdy

Hi everyone!

We were invited to a press event at Universal Studios Hollywood where Horror make-up artist Larry Bones and his team brought to life characters from The Walking Dead, Evil Dead, Insidious, and Black Sabbath. Jeff and I weren’t able to be there in person this time around, but Jason and Benson Ma from the popular So Cal Theme Parks 360 YouTube channel did a great job covering it for us!

As someone who gets scared at events like Halloween Horror Nights, I found it fascinating to see how much work goes into the makeup (but in a non-scary setting). There is a lot of work that goes into creating these spooky looks – from makeup to hair to costumes.

Check out the photos and video of these eleborate makeup transformations, along with costumes from this year’s Halloween Horror Nights event!

Here is a video look at the makeup transformations!

Check out this video of Halloween Horror Nights Creative Director John Murdy and Greg Nicotero, Executive Producer of AMC’s The Walking Dead as they share what is being created for Universal Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Tickets are now on sale for Halloween Horror Nights, taking place at Universal Studios Hollywood on 21 select nights from September 20 through November 2, 2013.

Tickets to this year’s event are available at www.HalloweenHorrorNights.com/hollywood. There are several different experiences to choose from! Buy your tickets in advance, they often do sell out.
