Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground Readying for Halloween with Creative Decorations at Campsites

Hi everyone!

Yesterday we posted about P & J’s Southern Cookout, which was formerly Trail’s End to Go – similar menu, but expanded. Today we are taking a look around Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground at some of the Halloween decorations put up by guests. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is one of our favorite places to go for Halloween fun! We are looking forward to the Fort Wilderness Golf Cart Parade as always on Halloween (see the end of the article for a video of the 2014 parade), though we have to leave immediately after it is over this year. Traditionally we enjoy Halloween night at Trail’s End, but we have another event scheduled. The turkey below has nothing to do with Trail’s End. 🙂 We have never seen so many turkeys at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground – it reminded me of back in the day, when peacocks used to roam around.

Some golf carts are decorated already for the holiday.

As always, Disney and non-Disney decorations can be seen around the campsites.

Mickey Mouse as a sorcerer stands next to a witch.

Vampire Mickey.

Every year for Halloween and Christmas, certain inflatables seem to be seen all over the campground. I don’t remember Minnie in this costume – but she is everywhere in it this year!

Even a vampire Minion can be found.

Happy Halloween decorations.

More Halloween characters, including Frankenstein.

Mickey is a vampire again here, between two Mickey shaped figures (a pumpkin and a bat).

The witch didn’t make it.

Some of the yearly campsite guests are not in their usual places this year (I am not sure if they are elsewhere), but this Packers display is back and gets bigger every year. Here is a look at that display!

There isn’t too much going on yet at the Meadows Complex as far as Halloween, but there is a small amount of merchandise and some pumpkins.

Star Wars is the dominant theme on this golf cart.

C3P0, Stormtroopers, Yoda, Darth Vader and R2-D2 share billing here with vampire Mickey and other Mickey inflatables.

Since our last visit to Fort Wilderness, walking and cart paths have been reworked. Now that the weather is getting cooler, we look forward to spending much more time here.

We saw quite a bit of wildlife while there this time, including many deer that came out to graze.

Here is a look at the 2014 Halloween Golf Cart Parade at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground! The carts are always so creative, and I can’t wait to see what the themes are this year! We’ve been sharing the Golf Cart Parade on Mousesteps for 6 or 7 years now.

We look forward to sharing much more of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground for both Halloween and Christmas!
