Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

Disney Springs Photo Update, October 22nd, 2015 – STK, Town Center, More

Hi everyone!

We have spent quite a bit of time at Disney Springs in the past few weeks, especially in the past 5 or 6 days. Each time we visit – even if there are just a couple of days in between – so many changes happen in the interim. We wrote about Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar a few weeks back from our opening day visit, and I can’t recommend the food and drinks there more. The food is overall very creative and delicious, and appetizer portions generous. We just were back a few days ago for lunch.  But today we will be looking at other restaurants that are coming – STK is particularly progressing rapidly – and much more.

STK can be seen from the parking garage, at least on one side.

The Edison construction seems to be moving more slowly.

Here are more views from the Orange Parking Garage of the coming Town Center section that is due to open next summer. The construction from World of Disney to Planet Hollywood is in that section.

Planet Hollywood will be closing temporarily at the beginning of the year for a makeover to match Disney Springs. Much is going on around it as well.

The Edison will be where the Adventurer’s Club was.

STK is nearly enclosed now on this side. Just last week, it was mostly open.

Paradiso 37 recently expanded to add more seating.

Morimoto Asia is now open for lunch. The restaurant inside is beautiful.

Near Morimoto Asia, more work can be seen in the Town Center area beyond the walls.

On the bridge from the Marketplace to near the Rainforest Cafe, the kiosks on the right hand side have disappeared.

Here is a view looking toward the LEGO Imagination Center and the construction behind it. There is still a lot more Disney Springs to come.

The signs around Disney Springs still say “coming soon”, even though some of the locations have opened (and Disney Springs is now the official name).

Construction cranes can be seen behind the World of Disney and other shops.

If you haven’t been to Disney Springs recently, there are a lot of nice restaurants and shops already open – but more have been announced recently.

Fun Finds now is the place to go for Duffy merchandise, and newly ShellieMay.

We wrote about ShellieMay arriving to Walt Disney World yesterday – this shop has become more of the toy store that Once Upon a Toy was. Currently Once Upon a Toy is mostly Star Wars and Marvel.

ShellieMay.

Kermit and Miss Piggy have been topiaries here for weeks now – they were first at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival last year, and Kermit didn’t make it back to the Festival this year. It was nice to see both together again.

Kermit.

Miss Piggy.

A walkway was still behind walls near Once Upon a Toy.

The World of Disney has work being done both outside and inside. Because things keep changing in the store, it is hard to get acclimated right now.

The Cogsworth clock has been very popular since it debuted recently! While it keeps selling out at shops on property, it was still online when I looked today at the Disney Store (this is an affiliate link).

New t-shirts for men and women.

In Days of Christmas, I found this fun, vintage inspired Epcot ornament. There are ornaments for all the parks, but none as interesting. You can even see a little Spaceship Earth ornament on the tree!

Mickey as a Tower of Terror bellhop, Minnie as a Prime Time server Nutcrackers.

The Landing at Disney Springs is becoming more complete. Town Center is due to open next summer.

Disney Springs signage is everwhere now.

Star Wars signage is everywhere too – well, not at the AMC Theaters yet, which is where I expected to see it.

Work behind the World of Disney.

More Star Wars signage in the D-Street window.

D-Street is mostly selling Star Wars now, it sounds like the decor will be changing as well.

There are Star Wars Vinylmation figures.

These signs keep changing with each opening!

Instead of Star Wars, the signage at AMC was for The Good Dinosaur.

Allow more time on the roads around Disney Springs, there is quite a lot going on here. I prefer to visit early in the day.

It is hard to keep up with all the changes to Disney Springs, but we look forward to seeing what is coming!
