Decorated Halloween Pumpkins by Cast Members Arrive to Disney’s Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts

Hi everyone!

Yesterday we stopped by a few resorts to see if Cast Member designed Halloween pumpkins had been displayed yet. Most resorts didn’t have anything ready. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort were both displayed – actually, the pumpkins were being put out as we arrived. Not every resort participates, but the ones that do should have them out today or tomorrow. We always enjoy the creativity of Cast Members, and this year is no different. Most resorts went to synthetic pumpkins last year, which allows the pumpkins to be displayed longer.

Jeff put together a video for each resort, beginning with Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Two of the pumpkins there are “Inside Out” themed.

Each resort had voting available for the pumpkins. There was just one category of all-around favorite.

These pumpkins include a bat.

Anger looks a little like Heat Miser here – it is a terrific display.

Star Wars is a recurring theme this year, with an AT-AT Walker in the snow.

Sadness even has the sweater.

My favorite here – and it was a tough choice – is Fillmore. Fillmore is set in front of a display just like at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort in the Cars section.

The bumper stickers were created in Photoshop, and are really nicely done! The only one we noticed missing was the “Save 2D Animation” sticker.

R2-D2.

R2-D2 has a hidden Mickey.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort has some wonderful pumpkins too!

Here is our video, and then photos.

Jeff had hoped to find a Haunted Mansion pumpkin this year, and Madame Leota didn’t disappoint.

This looks like a “Flowers and Trees” pumpkin.

Stitch is upside down and forms a Mickey on top.

Olaf represents “Frozen”.

My overall favorite is Jack Skellington, complete with bones for hands and feet.

Here is a look from the side.

A Maleficent pumpkin is flanked by other smaller character pumpkins.

The Chesire Cat, Queen of Hearts and Beast are the themes on these smaller pumpkins.

We look forward to seeing more creations in the next few days! Jack Skellington is a perfect theme, as two holidays start colliding here at Walt Disney World this weekend.
