Review w/Photos: Plancha at Four Seasons Resort Orlando to Launch Sunday Brunch Beginning March 13, 2016
Hi everyone!
Plancha at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando is just a few weeks away from launching a Sunday brunch. Beginning March 13th, 2016, the Cuban American restaurant at the Tranquilo Golf Club will have offer different options for guests looking for a delicious meal in a relaxed setting. We have dined here for a review previously, and you can find out more about the restaurant in that article. I’m not posting our brunch menu as it was for a media preview and the prices and menu items were tweaked after my visit. Brunch will be from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every Sunday. Entrees guests will be able to order include Churrasco, Eggs Benedict, the Plancha Burger and a Shrimp Omelet.
Tranquilo Golf Club is located on 3451 Golf View Dr (just outside of the Golden Oak gates, and not far from Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground). Valet and self parking are complimentary.

Guests will be able to order a 3 course lunch that includes these artisan meats (and many other items), or just the buffet only, or just an entree only. It allows for different budgets and for smaller or larger appetites. What I tried here was just a sample of what will be on the buffet.
While we didn’t see how the buffet will be laid out, it will include assorted salads, seasonal fresh fruit and berries, housemade granola, seared ahi tuna, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon and other items. For anyone who has been to the Ravello breakfast, you know how nicely presented and prepared buffet food is at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando.
Seriously, the naan chips and guacamole with roasted corn relish here are excellent – very addictive. The naan chips are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The black bean hummus is great too. Nearly everything is created in-house, with the guacamole being created before being brought to the table.
Here is a closer look at the guacamole, which I recommend for brunch or to order other days at lunch. It’s simply one of my favorite items at Plancha (along with the accompanying naan chips).
A variety of breads will be available.
Artisan cheeses will be part of the buffet.
Soft drinks, coffee, fresh pressed juices, iced tea and a choice of one Bloody Mary, mimosa or draft beer will be included in the buffet price. Guests choosing entree-only can order drinks separately, and there will also be a drink “package” of sorts during brunch that will feature bottomless Bloody Mary’s, mimosas and draft beer (it showed a price of $18). What I liked about the mimosa was it didn’t have too much orange juice in it, just enough.
I ordered the Very-Berry French Toast. It comes with a wild berry compote – there were a ton of warm berries. It was a lovely and filling dish that I would order again.
I did not try the other entrees at the table, but they were all raved about. The portion sizes are generous, including these Oatmeal Pancakes with a dark rum banana compote.
The Chicken and White Cheddar Waffle entree is made from fried chicken thighs, white cheddar waffles and spicy maple syrup.
Each item was nicely presented.
I believe this is the Shrimp Omelet, which would come with shrimp, jalapenos, mixed peppers, onion, tomato, cilantro, and cheddar.
There will be seven desserts on the buffet, including cheese flan and rollo de guava.
Tres leches is one of the house favorites here during lunch, and will be available.
Here is a look at some of the other desserts, including macarons and fruit tarts.
Macarons are such a treat, and a nice addition to the menu.
There will be something for everyone at the table, from the buffet to the entrees to the desserts.
The setting of Tranquilo is just as the name implies – very relaxed. Brunch should be very well presented, delicious, and will include this view. The Four Seasons Resort Orlando is the only Five Diamond resort in the Orlando area, and they really aim with quality and service in every way.
If you’ve never been to the Four Seasons, it is over a year old and I recommend it for staying or visiting for a meal. Check out our preview article from 2014 with over 100 photos of the resort.
Guests of the resort can enjoy this lazy river.
There is also Explorer Island, which is a fun recreation area.
It was a little chilly on this morning for the lazy river, but it always looks inviting.
I love the canopy of trees over the walkway here.
Guests may catch a glimpse of wildlife while staying at the resort, including birds and deer.
I can never recommend this wonderful resort enough! Check out the Four Seasons Resort Orlando on the official website.
