Sprinkles Cupcake ATM at Disney Springs: Review with Photos & Video at New Walt Disney World Location

Hi everyone!

We posted a full preview with lots of information about Sprinkles at Disney Springs (Walt Disney World) a few days back. The Sprinkles Cupcake ATM wasn’t available at that time, but it was yesterday for the Town Center opening. I’d never used a Sprinkles Cupcake ATM before, so it was a lot of fun to be one of the first to try it at Disney Springs. Here is a look at it in photos and video, plus some information about whether or not you should use it or bypass and go inside the shop.

Sprinkles had a huge first day at Disney Springs, with lines both for the shop and Cupcake ATM. The hours are different for each. The shop itself is open from 10 a.m. through midnight each day. The Cupcake ATM is open from 8:00 a.m. through 2:00 a.m. – those are the hours of Disney Springs, which is why it isn’t a 24 hour ATM. So you may find that just due to hours, the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM will be your easiest option. It is to the right in this first photo, with a queue of guests waiting. The Cupcake ATM line was about 15 minutes (we’d just gotten out of it), while a friend waited about 45 minutes to go inside the shop. But remember, this was the very first day and a weekend. The lines will differ each day.

Here is a look at the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM. The prices are slightly higher than the posted prices inside (due to the box), and the selection is smaller. Guests can purchase a full slate of items inside, including ice cream and all the available cupcakes. We visited the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM twice yesterday, and the second visit there were fewer cupcake options available. Also, Sprinkles gift cards and the Sprinkles Perks program (sign up for a free cupcake!) are not currently available at the Cupcake ATM. I was told that they are working to integrate both, but currently guests need to go inside to redeem rewards and collect points and use gift cards. We have been asked also many times if Sprinkles participates in the Disney Dining Plan. As of now, it doesn’t. I don’t know if that will change.

When you step up to the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM, there is a little Sprinkles tune that plays and guests can touch to begin.

Cupcakes inside are listed at $4.95 plus tax. Cupcakes outside are $5.50 plus tax (due to the box). Honestly, it was worth it to skip the longer line since this was all we were ordering. And it was fun to see how the ATM worked. Most guests in line seemed to enjoy using and photographing it.

While waiting for the cupcake, guests can watch the cupcake being taken off the shelf. Hundreds of freshly made cupcakes are stocked several times per day.

Here is our video of the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM.

The Cupcake ATM is very fast. I don’t think it took more than 30 seconds from swiping the credit card until the door opened. I was surprised at that. So for speed and hours, this is a good bet. For a larger selection, inside is better (the ice cream honestly is as good as the cupcakes).

The Sprinkles signage was added to the shop after our preview. Sprinkles will be a huge draw for Disney Springs.

Remember to sign up for Sprinkles Perks close to your visit (within a month)! And read our article from a few days back for much more about Sprinkles at Disney Springs.
