Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

It’s an Incredible Summer at Magic Kingdom with Super Character Appearances (Including Edna Mode) and More Family Fun

Hi everyone!

Incredible Summer kicked off May 25th, 2018 at Walt Disney World. This all-encompassing event spans the four parks as well as Typhoon Lagoon with the highlight being the opening of Toy Story Land on June 30th, 2018. We already shared about Donald’s Dino-Bash at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park, which became an instant hit – and today we are posting about the Incredible Tomorrowland Expo at Magic Kingdom. The Incredible Tomorrowland Expo celebrates “all things super” and includes character appearances, with – for the first time – Edna Mode! We were invited to a media event, thanks to Leah Emmanouilidis at Our Florida Project for covering this for us while we are in France.

The Incredible Tomorrowland Expo also includes a dance party, specialty themed dessert items and Jack-Jack’s Incredible Diaper Dash. Here is a look at what you will find there! Incredible Summer ends September 3rd, 2018.

“No Capes, Just Crepes” Sundae

The most popular aspect of Incredible Tomorrowland Expo will no doubt be the characters. Mr. & Mrs. Incredible, Frozone and the above-mentioned Edna Mode are part of the event in Tomorrowland in anticipation of Incredibles 2 (opening June 15th, 2018 in theaters). They are part of Super Party Time, the interactive show/dance party at the Rockettower Stage. They are not having static meet and greets with lines, they are making appearances with some guest interactions. Super Party Time is from 2-7pm each day.

Some of the food items look really fun, like the “No Capes, Just Crepes” Crepe Sundae – in two different flavors. The first is a Nutella crepe topped with ice cream and berries, and the other is a blackberry-lavender jam crepe with ice cream and fruit-flavored cereal. Both are $6.99 plus tax and located at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies.

There is also a Mrs. Incredible Pretzel Mask at the Lunching Pad topped with black salt and comes with cheese sauce. When I was at the Magic Kingdom a couple of weeks ago, I noticed the Dash Pizza at the Tomorrowland Terrace, it is pepperoni and cheese Sicilian-style. And maybe the most interesting sounding item is the Super Stretchy Burger inspired by Mrs. Incredible at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. It includes a flame-grilled angus burger piled high with deep-fried mozzarella sticks, American cheese, bacon and garlic ranch sauce.

The Super Super Fans that are basically Tomorrowland streetmosphere characters are really fun as they “show their appreciation for all the food that Super Heroes do” as they interact with guests.

Guests can also take part in Jack-Jack’s Incredible Diaper Dash, which seems to be the same baby race as you can find on the Disney Cruise Line. I have never seen anything like it in the Disney theme parks or resorts before. Babies have to be able to crawl but can’t walk yet, and there needs to be two adults with them. More information can be found when you visit the Magic Kingdom! We will have video of it posted Wednesday.

And we wrote a few weeks back about the plethora of “Incredible” merchandise currently at Merchant of Venus, which was themed for the Incredible Tomorrowland Expo just prior to May 25th. Photo backdrops can also be found around Tomorrowland, so keep a lookout for them!

We will be sharing more from Incredible Summer in the next week! Thanks again to Leah for covering the event for us. Next up for us to write up will be the Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Tape Live! Concert Series at Epcot.
