Disneyland Offers Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge “Know Before You Go” Opening Day Questions and Answers

Hi everyone!

Disneyland Ambassador Justin Rapp is back in a video with more helpful tips for visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in the first few weeks after it opens. Remember if you don’t have a free reservation, the only way to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge between May 31st and June 23rd at Disneyland is to have an official Disneyland Resort hotel reservation. After June 23rd, there is no need for a reservation – everyone can enter. That is covered again in this video, but there is also some new information. Remember this is only for Disneyland! Walt Disney World will work differently.

The biggest piece of information in the video is that check-in for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge can be done up to 2 hours ahead at Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland.

Rapp says that there is no need to arrive super early, we personally plan to arrive 2 hours early to make sure we are checked in and then can get over to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for our 11:00 a.m. reservation. That said, parking starts at midnight and the merchandise line starts at 2:00 a.m. on opening day, so some guests will be there very early. Disneyland Park officially opens at 8:00 a.m. on May 31st, 2019 (guests can enter the park at 6:00 a.m. for their 8:00 a.m. reservation, though no rides will be open).

Other topics in this video include the fact that there will be no opening moment or giveaway and to note the Disneyland Resort costume policy. The video is just a few minutes long, check it out for almost any other information you might need!
