TRON Construction Update at the Magic Kingdom – July 10th, 2019

Hi everyone!

We have photos and video from yesterday of the TRON roller coaster construction at the Magic Kingdom! TRON is scheduled to be open for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021. The attraction was announced about two years ago now at the 2017 D23 Expo and is based on TRON Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland. Here are the photos and a video!

It was nice to get back into the Magic Kingdom yesterday.

Before heading over to the TRON construction, here is a look at the absence of the Tomorrowland sign. It was removed a couple of days ago, and it looks like a new one will be installed.

We rode the People Mover first for a quick look at the construction from this angle.

Here is our video from two angles, followed by more photos.

The People Mover is one of my favorite attractions anyway and then it also offers terrific views of what will be a very popular attraction.

Here are more photos from the People Mover and then we will head over to Storybook Circus.

Here is one photo without the Tomorrowland sign from the People Mover.

My favorite view of the construction is from the queue for Goofy’s Barnstormer. The ride does not offer a view but the queue overlooks it.

The TRON sign is to the left of the construction here.

And here are photos from yesterday from the queue. It is exciting to see it coming together!

We should have more photos and video in a few weeks or so.
