Hi everyone –
As the Walt Disney World parks operate in the midst of COVID-19, there are many changes for health and safety. One of those is that characters do not meet or hug guests right now. Also, there are no fireworks and parades. But instead, the parks have various cavalcades and motorcades that continously run through the parks. It is a nice way for guests to see characters without bunching up and waiting. And one of my favorites is the Pixar Pals Motorcade. Here are some photos and videos from Thursday!
First, here is our video from several angles
Mr. and Mrs.Incredible lead the motorcade, with Edna Mode behind them.
Edna Mode is in a car, all the cars used are themed to the characters.
Sulley is up next.
The Green Army Men actually are drumming, so it isn’t just characters but a little musical entertainment as well.
They are great! But all face characters should have masks, IMHO. Hopefully Walt Disney World makes that happen at some point.
He stopped to salute.
Woody and Jessie stop and pose.
They are part of the Toy Story grouping.
Buzz Lightyear is the final character, in a fun car themed to him.
Buzz posed for me.
The motorcades at Disney’s Hollywood Studios seemed to run about one every half hour, we saw the Pixar one roll by a few times. It makes it easy for guests to see them but not all guests having to see them at the same time.
It is nice to see the Disney parks offering distanced entertainment and I will be posting more in the coming days of what is available.
