Chef Mickey’s to Bring Back Character Dining with New Menu Items Starting December 16th, 2020

Hi everyone!

Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be returning to character dining on December 16th, 2020 with new items on the menu. The restaurant is not currently a buffet, you will find all-you-care to eat family dining. The character meals have been opening up slowly at Walt Disney World.

The meal is called Chef Mickey’s Family Feast – Character Dining.

There will be traditional breakfast items (“breakfast breads, traditional breakfast entrées such as Mickey waffles, and selections from Chef Mickey’s Signature entrees”) as well the new Mickey’s “Celebration” Pancake, featuring whipped cream, celebration sprinkles, shimmering pixie dust and more.

Also new, the “Loaded” Potato-Cheese Casserole topped with smoked bacon crumbles and chives.

Goofy’s Banana Bread French Toast will combine unique flavors of banana bread baked in zesty orange-scented French toast batter, topped with Espresso-mascarpone cream, toasted bananas and chocolate crumbles.

Since this will be a family style meal, you can try all three items as part of it along with other traditional breakfast favorites as it is all-you-care-to-eat.

Mickey and friends will be returning, but the experience will be a little different. As with other restaurants that have returned to character dining, you’ll see the characters and can interact from a distance. They will also parade through the restaurant.

Disney says that “Each table will receive a special autographed card keepsake from Mickey and his friends.”

Reservations for Chef Mickey’s character breakfast will open on October 17, based on availability. Pricing is $42 per adult and $27 per child, plus tax and gratuity.

In addition, Disney Resort hotel guests can make reservations up to 60 days in advance plus the length of their stay (up to 10 days). For more information, click here.
