Walt Disney World Annual Passholder Pop-Up Shop Opens at Epcot Germany Pavilion (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

A Walt Disney World Annual Passholder pop-up shop opened yesterday at Epcot’s Germany pavilion. I was able to preview it just before the shop opened and we posted a video (embedded below) featuring a look through the store. The shop is open from 11:30am – park close Monday-Fridays (currently through November 17th, 2020), and encompasses several stores – not just Der Teddybar, but Das Kaufhaus and Volkskunst – the entire section of shops on the right hand side of the pavilion.

There was also a virtual waitlist for guests yesterday, there isn’t a lot of room here for a line.

These shops have been closed since the parks reopened, it is nice to see them open in some form again. As an Annual Passholder, I definitely will be stopping here once every week or two. The shopping experience reminds me of the old Fun Finds store at the former Downtown Disney (remember that?)

Here is our video of the pop-up shop, over 8 minutes long. A lot of the merchandise will change, so keep that in mind. I have more photos than I planned in the article but didn’t take as many as I might, knowing that the merchandise could rotate quite a bit.

It took me a few minutes to understand how the shop worked. There is actually quite a bit of Germany merchandise in the Das Kaufhaus section, just like normal – a lot of it new Germany/Disney items. There are no additional discounts in this room right now except the regular Passholder discount.

There are shirts and sweatshirts.

There are mugs and cups.

Many of the World Showcase shops have themed coasters, and now Germany does as well.

Here is a look at this room. It has a very similar feel to what we have seen before, sometimes it is full of sports merchandise and for a year or two, there were a lot of dirndls and such.

A new ornament is available, just as many other countries have right now (including Italy and France, themed to their respective countries).

This is a fun shirt that reminds me of going to the Biergarten.

The first room I just showed has merchandise that probably will not rotate that much for the time being. After that, there is a variety of merchandise, some Passholder and some not, some heavily discounted and some not discounted further than the Passholder offer.

We don’t normally see Disneyland Paris merchandise at Epcot that is not rebranded for World Showcase. I think I overheard it has something to do with shipping and instead these Minnie Mouse items ended up at Epcot. All this merchandise would have ended up in the Disney Fashion store at Disney Village (Disneyland Paris) and then around a few other shops. Disneyland Paris really leaned into the “fashion” merchandise a couple of years ago.

There are purses.

This is très chic.

The Disneyland Paris tag is on the merchandise.

As someone who travels to Disneyland Paris yearly (usually), it is fun to find some of the merchandise here.

There are some items from the Italy pavilion.

A Happy Halloween Annual Passholder shirt.

There are more Walt Disney World Passholder items but that isn’t the bulk of the merchandise.

A Remy Passholder shirt was next to a Mickey Mouse shirt.

There was a limited time bonus with a $50 purchase of a coaster set or cutting board.

The Helly Hansen jackets and Norway hats were a very good price, with an extra 50% off and then 30%. These Disney themed items are fairly new in comparison with a lot of the other Norway merchandise.

This was actually my favorite corner, with some France items (including soaps) for an extra 50% off and then the Passholder discount. I was in a hurry and didn’t have time to wait in line to purchase later but I definitely plan to go back. I have purchased a few of these items previously at normal price (minus my discount).

In this corner, the items are from Germany.

Der Teddybar still has its Christmas feel to it.

Some Epcot Flower & Garden Passholder merchandise was also available yesterday for a steep discount.

Some of the merchandise may change quickly, we plan to visit Monday or Tuesday and see what is available (and shop a little). Definitely check it out if you have a chance, and remember the Taste of the Epcot Food & Wine Festival is going on.
