Living with the Land: Merry and Bright Nights Overlay Back for Second Year at Epcot – Photos & Video 2020

Hi everyone!

Living with the Land: Merry and Bright Nights is back at Epcot for a second year! While the attraction has included holiday decorations in the greenhouses for years, this is just the second year it officially has an overlay with a name (and much more Christmas lighting). Here is a look from our visit last night!

Epcot was open until 10:00pm last night, and we rode Living with the Land after 9:00pm with no wait (twice). Things are different with the pandemic, including plastic between rows on the boats. On our second ride, we had our own boat and were in the first row.

Here is our video.

Christmas lights can be found throughout the greenhouses.

This is always my favorite view in the greenhouses, the initial reveal.

Christmas ornaments and special lighting are also part of the holiday overlay.

This tree looks beautiful lit up.

The snowman family is on the right hand side this year (the first time I remember them being here).

Signage tells guests “Happy Holidays from Living with the Land”.

Vibrant lighting includes red, green and blue.

Ornaments again line the bottom.

This Mickey shaped plant has a Santa hat on.

A blue ornament sits among the greenhouse plants.

This area used to include alligators, it still has fish – and Christmas lights.

We are heading into another decorated greenhouse area.

Christmas presents are added throughout the attraction.

I really like the lighting in this area.

There is a topiary reindeer head. In the past, there has been a wire frame reindeer but not a full plant.

Mickey can be seen in the lettuce.

The Land is noted on boxes.

More lights can be found in the microgreens.

Toward the end of the ride, some of the larger plants have Christmas lights.

More presents are stacked here.

Stockings decorate the window, as do snowflakes and ornaments.

“After the sun sets, ride Living with the Land for a special, sparkling tour. Enjoy a peaceful evening cruise and view twinkling holiday light displays throughout the greenhouses”.

Here are a couple of last photos in the greenhouse before nearing the end of the ride.

I love Living with the Land and especially during the holiday season with Merry and Bright Lights. While the ride itself is a little different right now, what is presented is not. A lot of beautiful decorations can be found inside Living with the Land this holiday season and it was really nice yesterday to enjoy them. And the best part? The least busy time of day in Future World tends to be the end of the evening (a perfect time to see the Living with the Land: Merry and Bright Lights).
