Keister Coaster at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort – Mickey & Friends Transformation is Almost Complete – Photos and Video
Hi everyone!
The Keister Coaster at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort is nearly finished with its transformation. When we stayed at the resort in June upon reopening, the 200-foot clown slide was still in the Luna Park pool area (photos lower in the article). Then the clown was hauled away. Now the slide is a Mickey and friends theme in the style of the Mickey shorts similar to what we see in Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
Mickey and Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald and Daisy can be seen here on the slide. Disney says about the pool and slide, Swim in this carnival-themed pool that is home to a 200-foot-long waterslide. Harkening back to an amusement park of the 1920s, the 184,217-gallon Luna Park Pool invites you to clown around in the water and make a splash under the spouting trunks of grinning elephant statues.
Her is our video and more photos.
Donald dives as Pluto is on a float.
On the other side, Goofy goes down a slide as Mickey and Minnie are in the water.
The work wasn’t yet done today (the pool is open).
Here is a look at the infamous clown slide that was still at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort in June.
This wasn’t my favorite theme for a slide.
Back in June, the parks were not yet open again so we didn’t go to the pool because it was *the* main draw for guests. We did take photos and video then though when the pool was not yet open for the day.
The slide theming looks nearly finished though there were Imagineers working on it today.
What do you think about the new pool theme?
