Disney Cruise Line to Resume Florida to Bahamas Sailings August 9th on the Disney Dream

Hi everyone –

On August 9th, the Disney Dream will kick off the return of the Disney Cruise Line in the United States. Voyages to the Bahamas will be departing from Port Canaveral, Florida. Three and four night cruises will visit Disney Cruise Line’s beautiful private island Castaway Cay.

The video below from Disney shares a look at what to expect on board – much of it in terms of health and wellness. Face coverings are required in most public indoor locations for ages 2+ and COVID testing (prior to leaving home AND prior to embarkation) is required for those who are not fully vaccinated. More information can be found in the Know Before You Go area of the Disney Cruise Line website about all the health and wellness aspects.

There is also enhanced cleaning onboard.

The Disney Cruise Line experience won’t look all different, however. Yolanda Cade on the Disney Parks Blog says, “As always, our ships are overflowing with magic—from beloved character encounters to enchanting Broadway-style musicals and a spectacular fireworks display at sea”.

I look forward to sailing again with the Disney Cruise Line. Remember that the new Disney Wish ship starts sailing next summer!
