Nova Corps Starblaster Ship Taking Shape at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

We went to EPCOT today and took photos and video of the new Nova Corps Starblaster ship that is being added to the entrance of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Imagineer Zach Riddley said that in the coming weeks, the 51-foot tall ship will be assembled, “adding finishing details and tying in the landing pad area that surrounds the ship”.

Riddley also said, “Once complete, this ship will be the signature icon of the Wonders of Xandar pavilion and will immediately establish the Xandarian storyline guests will discover inside this new attraction”

Disney says of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, This family-friendly attraction features the first ever reverse-launch on a Disney coaster and is one of the longest enclosed coasters in the world! A new innovation from Walt Disney Imagineering—this coaster rotates 360 degrees so you can focus on the action!

We look forward to riding the roller coaster this summer! We should have more photos after a visit on Sunday.
