Our 4-Hour Experience on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser in Photos and Video

Hi everyone!

We were invited to a 4-hour preview of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World, which welcomes its first official guests on March 1st, 2022.  The experience takes place over a 2-night stay aboard the Halcyon. Here is a look at our afternoon on board!

We were taken in a group around the ship.

We entered the Launch Pod.

Here is our video of the Launch Pod with a tour of the Bridge.

This is my first view of the atrium, which is sleek and comfortable. If we eventually did a 2-night experience, I would probably spend a lot of time in here.

Ouannii was chatting with Sandro Alimander in the atrium. There are a number of characters who are part of the experience.

In one corner, there were snacks themed to the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

The snacks included a Chandrila Star Line Cookie and a Galaxy Cake Bar.

There was also a Rise-Coated Asteroid Cookie, Space Rock Blend and Sweet and Nutty Mix.

A model of the Halcyon sits in the lobby.

We took a peek into The Chandrila Collection gift shop. It was not open while we were on board.

There are over 60 exclusive items created for the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, including apparel for adults and children.

There is also a model, a droid and other items.

This is our Mousesteps Weekly YouTube Show about our experience.

Here is our video of the characters we encountered onboard.

Gaya was chatting with guests. She is Twi’lek and is the singer in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room. She is a fantastic performer. Gaya told us she was drinking the “Gaya special”, something only for Gaya.

Captain Riyola Keevan leads the voyage.

First Order Lieutenant Harman Croy was very prominent during our 4 hours onboard.

Next to him is Cruise Director Lenka Mok.

We were brought into the Lightsaber Training Pod.

We were taught to use a lightsaber against a training remote.

Here is our video of the lightsaber training.

Next, we were brought for Bridge Training. We were actually on the bridge several different times. This is a look out the back window.

Here are a few photos from our training. I was participating most of the time and didn’t take as many photos – everyone had to work together.

I noticed outside the window that Lt. Croy was gathered with the Stormtroopers.

The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is like an immersive theater and the characters were often around.

We went to see a standard cabin.

The standard cabin sleeps 5 adults with a queen bed, two bunks and a smaller pull-down bed.

Here is our video of the standard room.

The window looks out onto space.

Our next stop was the Engineering room and our goal was to stop power to the ship. A friend who did the two day said that he was in the Engineering room with Chewbacca, restoring the power.

The Sublight Lounge is sure to be popular on board.

A Cast Member told us about a couple of the specialty drinks.

There is a Sabacc Table.

Here is a look at one of the seating areas.

Next, we went to the Crown of Corellia Dining Room to sample items that would be served for dinner.

Most of the food we had was what would be served in “An Evening with Gaya”, which is the first night.

This was the view from my seat.

The food items are unique looking but have recognizable tastes and the meal is served as a Bento experience. Breakfast and lunch are buffet style.

The food we tried included seared Bantha Beef (with braised teriyaki beef) and Tip Yip Chicken (with sweet and sour shredded chicken).

The dessert we tried is Jogan Fruit and Caramel Whip with yuzu, passion fruit and Cardellia jelly. Delicious!

We were able to try one alcoholic drink (not included with the meal), the Hoth Icebreaker.

Gaya entertained guests around the room.

Here is our video of Gaya performing.

Ouannii accompanies.

We went back to the Bridge.

Sammie is one of the key figures on board and was there.

Chewbacca can be seen above.

Again, I was looking out the back window and saw Sandro playing in the atrium.

The Bridge experience is like being in a large video game. And many of these experiences are team building ones.

It was time for the finale, which includes Kylo Ren, Rey and just about everyone else we had met along the way  in the four hours.

Here is our video, followed by photos.

Cast Members lined up as we left the Halcyon.

The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is an intense experience if you want it to be or you can opt to take  a more laid-back approach. Our 4 hours on board was busy and I was pretty tired like if it was 8-10 hours of activity. If we opt to pay for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser in the future (and we may), I would spend more time in the atrium and Sublight Lounge, enjoying the atmosphere.

The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser isn’t inexpensive, it starts at $4809 for 2 guests for 2 nights and includes meals, valet parking, the trip to Batuu (Disney’s Hollywood Studios) and such. I do believe that our friends who have booked the experience in the next couple of weeks will get a lot out of it and may feel it’s worth it for them. I am actually excited to hear what they all think of their 2 days onboard.

Disney did invite us for the 4 hours and also to stay at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort for 2 nights.
