Decorated Easter Egg Display Returns to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort for 2022 (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort now has its gorgeous chocolate Easter egg display out! The display will be available for viewing through April 18th, 2022 and almost all the eggs are new this year after a two year absence. Pastry Chef Kristine Farmer led the team in designing about 24 eggs with themes that include “Encanto”, “Luca”, “Avengers” and many more. Some celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World. Here is a look at the eggs in photos and video!

First, our video.

The pastry team at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort posed for a photo near some of the eggs.

We had already arrived early to check out The Grand Cottage, where treats are being sold – so we were able to watch as the display eggs arrived. That included this huge Cinderella carriage that was being brought out.

A license tag on the back says “Cindy 50” and resembles a Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary license plate that is for sale in Florida.

Farmer poses for photos with Chef Stefan Riemer (Pastry Culinary Director at Walt Disney World) and others from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

This egg features Spaceship Earth with its new points of light, and Figment sits at the top. Postcards with each pavilion are at the base.

The back of the egg features Figment’s footprints.

“Ratatouille” is the theme of this egg, which features Remy in an Easter basket. Other characters are Easter eggs.

There is literally an Easter egg here, with a Pizza Planet truck to the right.

A pan of ratatouille along with the book “Anyone Can Cook” by chef August Gusteau are beneath.

There are a lot of standout egg designs this year, including the beautiful “Encanto” egg. It is surrounded by butterflies and features Isabella and Mirabel. The candle from the movie is on the base.

Mirabel wears her trademark glasses.

On the back is the family and a doorknob.

Grogu is in his crib. Several items line the base, including the blue macarons.

Piper from the Pixar short is joined by the hermit crab.

The eggs are mostly near the Garden View Tea Room instead of the front of the resort.

Next, there is an Avengers egg. The painting on this is amazing, and includes Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man and Thor on this side.

Thor, Rocket and the Hulk can be seen here.

Black Panther, Black Widow and baby Groot are also on the egg.

The “Luca” egg is also stunning, and features Luca and Alberto swimming – part human, part sea monsters.

Here is a closer look at the characters.

This is the back of the egg.

A “Hunny” pot from “Winnie-the-Pooh” is next. Honey is pouring out and there is a bee, honeycomb, “kerits” and more.

The sign says “100 Aker Woods”.

This egg features Cinderella Castle in its current form and partly in blueprints. Tinker Bell flies nearby. Walt Disney holds his pointer and there is a Walt name tag as well.

The other side of the egg features the Magic Kingdom Casting Agency door, a Roy name tag and Mickey.

“Raya and the Last Dragon” is the theme of this egg.

Tuk Tuk is at the bottom.

There is an ornate White Rabbit egg.

The Stitch egg is on a surfboard.

On the back of the egg is Scrump.

This looks like the Rainforest Cafe frog and mushrooms.

A “Treasure Planet” egg is next.

Beyond the eggs, you can see The Grand Cottage to the right.

Disney horses surround this egg, including Maximus.

The next eggs are in the center of the lobby.

This egg is one of the few that return this year, a “101 Dalmations” themed egg. The dalmatians watch the Kanine Krunchies commercial. A box is at the base.

Pongo and Perdita are on the back.

Toy Story aliens come into view next door.

Mrs. Potato Head takes a photo of Mr. Potato Head in his bunny ears.

At the back of Mr. Potato Head, one of the green aliens messily enjoys some treats.

Cast Members Meg and Loren stand in front of their creation.

The “Up” house is also returning from the 2019 display.

There is an Easter egg basket next.

Bunnies surround the various themed eggs.

Chip and Dale hold onto a smaller egg.

It looks like Dale is giving it to Chip. Below them are flowers and eggs, including a Mickey and little mushrooms.

Snow White’s cottage looks like two separate eggs, with the Seven Dwarfs mine below.

There is a molded Snow White.

Dopey is nearby.

Six of the dwarfs are beneath.

There is a little Mickey head in chocolate and it also looks like a little Minnie, with the ribbon.

This looks like a “Fantasia” Pastoral Symphony scene.

I took a photo of Chef Kristine Farmer in front of one of the eggs.

This “Rescuers Down Under” egg features Joanna with a wrapped egg, including a hidden Mickey.

This tag says “The Rescuers Down Under”.

“Happy Easter Joanna!”

Check out the talons.

A large bunny stands near the main egg display.

It takes a lot of work and talent to put together the Easter egg display – the pastry team almost started from scratch this year, instead of having a lot of returning eggs. If you have a chance to check them out in person, definitely stop by!
