Riding the AquaMouse on the Disney Wish (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

The AquaMouse is the first water attraction at sea for the Disney Cruise Line, aboard the Disney Wish. Jeff rode it several times during our preview cruise earlier this month.

Disney says about the attraction, Slide and splash through the zany stories of The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse aboard AquaMouse. Complete with animated scenes and delightful special effects, this first-of-its-kind water ride will send you on a fun family adventure through 760 feet of winding tubes suspended high above the upper decks.

First, here is our video. Most of it is a POV, with a bit of reverse POV from Disney. There will usually be water effects but they weren’t turned on (I am sure due to the filming).

Jeff went straight to the AquaMouse one morning to ride.

The sign shows Mickey and Minnie on a raft.

The wait time said 10 minutes.

The slide rules mention one or two riders per 2 person raft.

Jeff was first in line.

First thing at 9:00 a.m. was a very good time to be here.

Rafts await guests.

The conveyor belt for the ride can be seen past the rafts.

Mickey’s pants hang on the line as part of the theming.

Jeff enjoyed the AquaMouse, and says it wasn’t as thrilling as the AquaDuck or AquaDunk – but is more interesting with a story. He also likes that there were no stairs to climb. Plus, there are two different stories (Swiss Meltdown and Scuba Scramble), so it is even more repeatable.

I took a walk during early morning on our debarkation day, including around the AquaMouse.

Chip and Dale want to get to Castaway Cay!

The sign says “Castaway Cay or Bust”.

Underneath them, it says “Contents: Mickey Shorts”.

There are “stickers” as well, including one that says Matterhorn.

And here it says “Villain Mountain” and to the right, “Mermaid Lagoon”.

We have a cruise booked for August, and  I expect we will update this article with another video!
