Disneyland Paris Now Using Sustainable Trees for Disney Enchanted Christmas (Video)
Hi everyone!
Disneyland Paris has shared that this year, the resort chose to use potted trees for Disney Enchanted Christmas so that they can reuse them each year. Those gorgeous trees you see in Town Square and elsewhere will be the same ones you will see next year and beyond! I love the holiday season at Disneyland Paris.
Disneyland Paris shared this video and more information is below it, along with a few screen captures from the video.
Disneyland Paris says, This year, in line with Disneyland Paris environmental commitments, the teams in charge of the Christmas season have chosen sustainable trees to decorate this iconic season. The trees will continue to grow from one season to the next thanks to a specific process identified in collaboration with a local nursery based in Seine et Marne, the Pépinière du Val d’Yerres.
In the video, Producer of Disney Enchanted Christmas Jeanne Debost talks about how they decided to use potted trees in special pots that keeps roots from intertwining.
The holes bring air to the center of the pot, enabling roots to keep the same shape. The trees live in the nursery so they can be used the next holiday season. This can be repeated over and over.
Moving the trees can be complex, but I really like that Disneyland Paris continues to be eco friendly in so much of what they do.
