Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Update Photos from December 19th, 2023 at Magic Kingdom, Including New Walkway

Hi everyone!

A new walkway opened at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in the Magic Kingdom! We also have more update photos to share of the upcoming attraction from our visit yesterday. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is scheduled to open sometime in 2024 as a retheme of the former Splash Mountain attraction, there is no date announced yet.

We rode the train first to Frontierland and have an overview of the area. To the right, you can see the newly opened walkway. To the left, the queue that is being worked on still.

I shared close-up photos of the mural that features Louis in our last update.

Here is a look down into the queue that is not open yet as work continues on the pavement and landscaping.

We had our first look at the new walkway from the train before heading down.

Here is a look at the walkway with new pavers.

There is iron fencing that has been added.

The walkway takes you to the restrooms.

We headed out to take some photos of the attraction.

Not too much has changed since my last time here on December 9th. It looks like a little more greenery, a little more moss…there was a worker checking out the moss dangling from the trees when we were there.

And here is one last photo, there was no work going on at this area while we were there. There wasn’t much work on the exterior happening during our visit that I could see.

Our next visit to the Magic Kingdom will likely be in early January. If there is anything new at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, I will post at that time!
