EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival Topiaries Spring Up for 2024 Event (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival runs from February 28th to May 27th, 2024, and many topiaries have been placed! This is always my favorite time of year at EPCOT, with beautiful topiaries and gardens around the park.

We had not been to EPCOT in about 6 weeks due to travel, so this is our first set of pictures for the festival. I will have a full topiary article next week when the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival begins, including more topiary history. Plus we’ll post about the new topiaries for 2024 as they arrive.

First, here is our topiary video from yesterday.

Figment is in the new World Celebration Gardens, surrounded by flowers. He received a succulent makeover last year, and the flower interiors here are also succulents.

He has more prominent purple lines across his chest.

Buzz Lightyear is back in front of Mission: Space.

Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, and Pluto are along the bridge to World Showcase. Chip and Dale stand by a picnic basket overflowing with carrots and corn.

Dale stands next to the corn.

Chip is closer to the carrots.

Minnie enjoys the sunshine.

Mickey holds a bouquet of flowers.

Pluto comes complete with a collar and name tag.

The flower quilt here has grown in quite a bit. I was surprised to not see a Mickey Mouse shape as usual – but there are flower and butterfly shapes.

I noticed Goofy in what seems like a very random location near the entrance to World Showcase.

The “Encanto” topiary group of Mirabel, Antonio, Isabela and Luisa Madrigal is at the entrance to World Showcase. They debuted last year at the entrance to EPCOT.

Isabela wears a dress of succulents and has an arch of flowers between her hands.

Mirabel holds a butterfly.

Luisa shows her strength.

Antonio holds Pico.

We turned right into World Showcase, seeing a butterfly topiary along the way.

The “Bambi” grouping is near here, with Bambi and Thumper.

Flower is one of the three topiaries.

Here is one more look at Bambi.

The lighting was pretty harsh yesterday, and my other Canadian geese photos didn’t come out as well as I’d like. But here is one of them!

Peter Pan and Captain Hook are back in the United Kingdom.

Tick Tock Croc is nearby.

The Shakespeare Garden also returns to the United Kingdom.

The Pooh characters are back in their usual area.

Piglet sits atop Eeyore.

Tigger is next to them.

Pooh and Rabbit are also in front of the Sportsman’s Shoppe.

Behind the United Kingdom, the Mickey Mouse topiary returns as does the elephant.

The butterfly is filling in at the International Gateway.

Belle and Beast are back in France. Beast continues evolving in his look.

Lumiere and Cogsworth can be found next to the clock in France.

Kermit and Miss Piggy can be found between the Morocco and France pavilions.

Kermit is back on his bike.

The dragon returns to Japan.

Lady and Tramp are back in Italy, with Via Napoli as the background.

Lady received an even bigger hairdo, which looks very different than her movie look.

She kind of has an 80s rock and roll look now.

Snow White and Dopey are in the location they were at in 2023. The rest of the Seven Dwarfs had not yet arrived.

Snow White received an updated face back in 2014, which started the changeover in many other topiaries (and new topiaries are much more lifelike than they were prior to then).

The pandas are back in China.

Elsa and Anna return to Norway.

The topiaries debuted back in 2015 and have had small modifications through the years (including Anna’s blue sleeves).

Snowflakes are along the walkway.

The Troll is back in Norway and looks a bit different again this year. His head has what looks like a floral crown (I first thought of Julius Caesar when I saw him).

There are Mickey shaped flower balls on sticks near the Odyssey.

The random Goofy I mentioned earlier appears to be holding dandelions.

It looks like he is blowing the dandelions.

Here is a look at him from the walkway.

Woody, Bo Peep and her sheep are in a new area in between the Imagination and The Land pavilions.

The sheep look very different than before. I think they also have an 80s glam rock look going on. As much as I love the era I grew up in, I am not really a fan of this look.

The monorail passes by Bo Peep.

This is such a great time of year – EPCOT is never more beautiful than during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival.

We will have much more in the coming week as the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival nears and then opens for the 2024 season!
