Smellephants on Parade at Storybook Circus: Photos and Video of Magic Kingdom Experience

Hi everyone!

Smellephants on Parade debuted this past week at the Magic Kingdom. This is a search-and-sniff experience sponsored by Scentsy that features 8 Smellephant statues in Storybook Circus. Guests receive an illustrated map of the land and a sticker sheet, as you become a “Whiff-sistant”.

Here is a look at our Smellephants on Parade experience! First, our video (followed by photos).

When in Storybook Circus, there is a Smellephants on Parade sign that says “Whiff-sistant Needed”, casting at the Big Top Ticket Booth. The hours for this experience are currently 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. We didn’t realize that when we started at 5:52 p.m.

Signs in Storybook Circus talk about the various fragrances, and Dumbo’s new act Smellephants on Parade.

A Cast Member was outside of Big Top Souvenirs when we arrived, handing out the maps with stickers.

This part is really nice! I thought the map and stickers were well done.

Inside, there are circles for the Smellephants on Parade locations. Timothy Q. Mouse is also mentioned quite a bit throughout, and he leaves a note as part of the map.

The back also shows Timothy Mouse.

There are 8 elephant statues that are supposed to have scents around Storybook Circus. This is a small footprint, so it won’t take long to find the statues but it may take a while to smell them. I actually smelled very little, I even spent a bit of time waiting at this Smellephants popcorn statue.

There is other decor elements to the land.

The various smells of the Smellephants can be seen here.

I didn’t smell anything at the Bubblegum Smellephant.

I believe this is the Churro Smellephant.

This is the Corn Dog Smellephant (and the last one I will show). There were only one or two I smelled – I didn’t hang out too long at each. Jeff says he smelled more of them.

I mentioned that we received our map and stickers at 5:52 p.m. The Cast Member said to come back when finished for a prize. She was gone though when we got back, and probably had left 8 minutes after we started. Nobody else had the sticker prize with them. It is a small thing, but still it would be nice if they handed out the prize with the map and stickers if it is after 5:00 p.m.

Thanks to my friend Jason at Disneygeek.com for the photo of the Timothy Q. Mouse sticker prize.

Smellephants on Parade is cute and doesn’t take too much time. It isn’t as much a scavenger hunt in that the Smellephants are very easy to find and pretty close together. If you get to the experience later in the day, see if the Cast Member will give you the sticker prize ahead of time. Hopefully they will eventually have maps, stickers and the prize at the cash registers after 6 p.m.
