Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

Walt Disney World Swan Reserve Construction Photos from October 17th, 2020 (Various Angles)

Hi everyone!

The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve is moving full steam ahead!  Originally this tower that is part of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort was called The Cove. Nearly two months ago we posted about how the 14th floor was topped off. The new tower is scheduled to open summer 2021 as a 349-room hotel. Read more information about it (some from a previous press release) below with the photos!

There are several pieces of concept art on the construction walls, which are next to Fantasia Gardens.

Once completed, The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve will offer two presidential suites and 149 spacious suites, all with floor-to-ceiling windows and perfect for families of 6-8. Situated in the heart of the Walt Disney World Resort, the hotel will offer its own signature restaurant and bar, lobby lounge, grab-and-go market, health club and pool. Guests of The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve will also have full access to the rest of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin’s amenities, including 18 restaurants and lounges, four signature restaurants, Mandara Spa, five pools as well as other special Disney benefits.

The 149 spacious suites provide a great collaboration space for executives and groups of up to 20 with access to two 65-inch monitors, comfortable conference style seating, built-in break area and a private bathroom.

Here is a sign for the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve.

The first photo I took of it yesterday was from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The construction is very visible from the parking lot as it is from some areas in Epcot and other locations.

I often take a couple of photos of it from the Disney Skyliner.

The construction here can be seen over the trees.

Heading into the turn, the project can be seen to the right.

And here it is as part of the skyline with the Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin and the Walt Disney World BoardWalk Resort.

We passed by it later in the day.

The blue wave looking pattern can be seen some from this angle (and more later).

Looking up.

The tower is not only right next to Fantasia Gardens, but a walk across to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin (about a 5 minute walk). That is where you’ll find some of the best restaurants at Walt Disney World, including Shula’s and Todd English’s bluezoo.

From this side, you can see the blue wave pattern.

There will be top-floor event space with floor-to-ceiling windows, including a restaurant and lounge.

From this angle, it really looks like the concept art.

Last week, we stopped at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort and had this view of the construction.

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is really known most for hosting large conventions – so once conventions can start back fully, this will be a needed addition for the resort. Their rooms often sell out during convention season.
