Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Royal Guest Room – Detailed Photos!

Hi everyone!

I just added a new category to our site – Resort Room Tours! We are very excited to offer more resort photos that we normally do not get, thanks to some friends who opened up their rooms to us. It can be a little bit of an inconvenience to wait for us to photograph and video rooms while still "show ready", and we really appreciate their invitations. We were delighted to see new room decor at Port Orleans Riverside, and first we are sharing with you the elegant Royal Guest Rooms!

In the upcoming few days, we also plan to add two other updates from Port Orleans Riverside rooms. The Alligator Bayou rooms have gotten a wonderful upgrade, with nice theming from Princess and the Frog and a new, longer murphy bed with gorgeous artwork (instead of the trundles that were under the bed). What I really love about all the rooms is how Port Orleans Riverside is included so much in the artwork and in the case of Alligator Bayou, the bedspread. Not all room refurbishments are finished yet throughout the resort.

If you'd like to see photos of the Port Orleans Riverside grounds, check out my Port Orleans Riverside Photo Walk! We also have a Port Orleans French Quarter Photo Walk.

Oak Manor is now open with 256 Royal Rooms, and Parterre Place is due to open in April with another 256 rooms – for a total of 512 Royal Guest Rooms!

We have a video here of the Royal Guest Rooms, as well as the rooms from Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Terrace!

There are some lovely Princess-themed artwork portraits around the room. One is a lenticular portrait of the princesses, each bringing a different gift to Princess Tiana. The story behind the Royal Guest Rooms is that the other princesses have visited Princess Tiana, each bearing a gift to add to the room. The frame of the lenticular portrait reminded Jeff of the Snow White's Scary Adventures car design.
