Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Construction Photos from July 1st, 2021

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share a few photos of the work going on at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort from yesterday. It was a rainy day and I could not use my normal SLR but I did take out my cell phone for these pictures. The new porte-cochère is being worked on and also the monorail station. The resort reopens on July 19th, 2021 with new standard Moana themed rooms but there is still ongoing work to the front entrance and monorail station.

Our last update was about three weeks ago due to a trip to Paris. I expect to go back next week when the weather is a little drier. A fair bit has changed since that last update.

This front entrance piece had been in the parking lot last visit as it was being worked on.

Here is a look at the walkway from the Great Ceremonial House to the monorail.

The Disney Vacation Club rooms have been open for a year now at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (and other resorts) – some restaurants, the shopping, pools, etc. have been open. But now we will be seeing those standard buildings reopen as well as ‘Ohana. I’m hoping Trader Sam’s won’t be too far behind.

We plan to have more photos next week!
