Streets of America at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Closed; Concept Art Added for Toy Story Land

Hi everyone!

Walls went up around the Streets of America after the final Lights, Motors, Action! was performed on Saturday. Concept art for Toy Story Land was also added, though not yet for Star Wars Land. A Green Army Man from Toy Story even showed us the artwork! Here is a look from yesterday. There are differences from the concept art we previously saw at the D23 Expo, and that could certainly be the case again as the land eventually takes shape.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be undergoing a lot of changes in the next few years. There are no dates announced for the Toy Story and Star Wars additions, but it’s going to be quite some time before anything is open. Disney did begin the new Star Wars stage show and Captain Phasma march with the First Order Stormtroopers, but that will be another article.

This is on the walkway to Pixar Place.

Alice Through the Looking Glass is coming out on May 27th.

It was interesting to see guests find a wall instead of a walkway here. Right before the former tram tour building is where this large wall is. The Coke building that sold snacks is now gone, it was there just a few days back.

This is in front of the Writer’s Stop, which has a full menu change since Saturday.

I really said my goodbyes to this area when the Osborne Lights ended, because that is when I spent most of my time here.

There are big plans.

This may depend on your definition of “near”.

This area is newly named the Muppets Courtyard.

The meet and greets for Phineas and Ferb & Cars have been closed for a while. Now there is a large wall here as well.

I will miss this area mostly around the holidays.

The Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure is also closed now, here is a look from the last days of it being open.
