150 Photos (w/Videos) from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2016, Including Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade, Characters, HalloWishes

Hi everyone!

Last week, I posted an article with 19 tips for enjoying Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2016. We have been to two parties, taken tons of photos and video, and I’m sharing about 150 photos here (as well as our videos). This is the 10th year that Mousesteps has brought you Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

The photos are on two pages, the second page is here.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is being held on (many) select nights through October 31st, 2016.

Before going through our photos and video, take a look at Mousesteps Weekly #199 – with an overview, tips and more of the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party we attended.

The first Party was overcast and lightly rainy at times early in the evening, but the second Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the year offered gorgeous (though very warm) weather.

We have a video of Halloween decorations taken a week or so prior to the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party wristbands are given out as guests enter the park (there is also a location inside the Magic Kingdom, at Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor).

Guests receive their wristbands.

We posted an article featuring the decorative pumpkins around the Magic Kingdom (including many themed ones) a couple of weeks ago.

This is the cover of the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2016 guidemap.

A Cast Member welcomes guests to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Party guests can pick up their souvenir Sorcerer’s of the Magic Kingdom card beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Main Street Fire Station.

New this year is the bypass behind the Magic Kingdom, guests of the Party can enter here at 4:00 p.m. and receive their first treats.

The bypass is decorated, beginning with the welcome balloons at the entrance.

The character statues that have been placed in the hub for years are now in the bypass. Musketeer Donald Duck holds a pumpkin with Daisy Duck on it.

Minnie Mouse holds a pumpkin.

Princess Minnie Mouse.

Musketeer Pluto holds a pumpkin with a bone on it.

Jester Goofy stands on a pumpkin.

Cast Members hand out a package of M&M’s/Mars candy.

The bypass is decorated with pumpkins as well. I’m not sure what time the bypass actually closes, but it isn’t open all night. Head here upon arrival to the Magic Kingdom, and I always recommend arriving at 4:00 p.m. to make the most of your Party ticket.

This is what the bag of treats looks like.

This is what each bag contains – the Goodness Knows bar can be one of two different types that I’ve seen, and then there is a full size Crispy M&M’s and a few other items. It is the first time I ever remember receiving treats early, and I’ve been going to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party since the mid-90s.

Guests with allergies – another first – can trick or treat as usual, receiving teal tokens to trade in later for candy and even non-food crafts. I’ll have more on that at the end of the article.

Donald and Pluto had been outside in the Emporium windows for a few days or more, but now are inside with Goofy.

Rapunzel was waving on the first evening as she and Flynn Rider waited to for their cue in Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire.

Two sets of characters begin meeting before Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for Party guests. First, Jack and Sally begin at 5:00 p.m. Then, the Dwarfs arrive around 6:40 p.m. The Dwarfs are now in Storybook Circus where Jack and Sally had been during the last couple of years. Jack and Sally meet at the Liberty Square gazebo.

Here is our video of the Seven Dwarfs!

Near the Seven Dwarfs, Donald was in his pumpkin costume. He and Minnie meet at 7:00 p.m.

Minnie blows a kiss.

We met Minnie Mouse in her witch costume.

Here is our video of Minnie and Donald meeting this year.

Trick or Treat balloons are different this year, and many of the treat locations are different as well.

The Carousel of Progress is a treat location again.

This was the first time we’ve ever waited for Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet. Because they are in Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade, they have shorter hours. But it was worth the wait!

Here is our video of the meet and greet!

The Pooh characters do not sign autographs. We received this autograph card.

Jasmine was in her new costume with Genie.

Aladdin met with Abu.

Here is our video of Aladdin, Abu, Jasmine and Genie.

A treat balloon is located near the Liberty Belle.

We met Talking Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater.

The line wasn’t too long early in the evening.

Here is our video with Talking Mickey Mouse!

The pumpkins begin to glow as the sun sets.

Over at the Rockettower Plaza Stage, there is a Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball.

Boo.

Lighting and a video screen add to the theme.

Monsters Inc. lighting.

Special lighting is less than it used to be around the park, Tomorrowland probably has the most extensive lighting and it is mostly Monsters Inc. themed.

The skull and crossbones is back on Pirates of the Caribbean, it always looks like a hidden Mickey with the two clocks above its head.

I was getting ready for the parade, and stopped for a photo with a Cast Member.

Two Cast Members hold balloons in Town Square as we waited for Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade. We ended up seeing the parade three times over two nights. Twice from Town Square, and once in Frontierland.

The Main Street Train Station always makes a nice backdrop for photos.

This was my location during the second Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade on the first night, with City Hall in the background.

Nick and Judy from Zootopia entertain guests on Main Street and Town Square before the parade arrives. It takes a half hour for the parade to reach Town Square, so it gives guests something to enjoy for a bit while waiting. They are joined by performers who used to be the Creepa Crew, but are now the Zootopia Party Patrol.

We have a video of the Zootopia Party Patrol.

Goofy joins other characters during 2016 in this segment, as he is not on the candy float this year.

Minnie Mouse is a witch on the gazebo float.

There are two pirate ships in the parade. This one holds Mr. Smee, Wendy, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, and the Lost Boys.

The other pirate float includes Captain Jack and Captain Barbossa.

The grave diggers are one of my most favorite segments of the parade!

Ballroom dancers.

Madame Leota and other gravestones are on this Haunted Mansion float, it was new a few years back.

Hitchhiking Ghosts.

Clarabelle Cow is back on her float.

Brer Fox, Brer Rabitt, Brer Bear.

Chip and Dale join the Country Bears.

Clara Cluck in her traditional float.

His truck is a little different this year, at least in the words on the side.

There are new Sugar Rush dancers/performers.

Vanellope is on top of what has been traditionally the Goofy’s Candy Company float (with Goofy on the bike).

Vanellope takes Goofy’s place.

Here is our video of Vanellope and Wreck-It Ralph.

It’s Good to be Bad.

This is another of my favorite segments of the parade.

Pain and Panic are at the back of this float.

Here are a series of photos of the villains segment, which includes photos of Cruella DeVil, Oogie Boogie, Bowler Hat Guy, Drizella and Anastasia.

The Red Queen.

Jafar is one of the characters on the Chernabog float.
