12/13 Final Torch Lighting Ceremony at the Polynesian Resort

On December 13th, the last Polynesian Resort torch light ceremony was performed.   Kaleo, a guitar player from the Tambu lounge and host of the torch light ceremony was part of the latest round of budget cuts.  He was an 18 year employee of the Polynesian Resort.     You can also find a video of the last lighting at JeffLangeDVD.com.   Jeff also has his Polynesian Resort DVD for sale here!

There is a possibility that the torch lighting will eventually resume again, but not with Kaleo.

Those of us who have enjoyed the Polynesian Resort torch lighting will miss him!!!!  Here are some photos from the last torch lighting.  Kaleo is in the Hawaiian shirt – the ceremony started inside, while the lighting and a fire dance happened outside.
