Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

Epcot International Gateway and Ratatouille Construction Update

Hi everyone!

The Epcot International Gateway is being redesigned for a larger amount of guests to enter when the Disney Skyliner opens this fall. There will be 4 more resorts entering Epcot here – Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and the upcoming Disney Riviera Resort. There has been some preliminary work over the past couple of months here but now guests are being rerouted as the area is expanded. I walked out and back in, and will show that below. Also, I have Ratatouille construction photos from outside the park.

Follow Mousesteps on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube! We recommend booking with our partner travel agency MEI/Mouse Fan Travel.

Here is a look at a wide shot of the area. It is actually very organized getting in and out of the park. While the International Gateway will still not take the majority of resort guests when this area is finished, it is going to take a lot more than it does now.

The MagicBand/ticket touch points are here right now. This is where guests enter the park.

The canopies look like they are being removed.

The green covering is gone from this one.

I walked outside in between Garden Rocks concerts. There is signage for guests looking for the Epcot Resorts and Friendship Boats.

I am looking forward to having Ratatouille here, and stopped for some photos before heading back inside.

Here is a look at some of the construction.

The skyline here now has the Eiffel Tower, Disney Skyliner, Ratatouille and such.

Here are a couple of closer photos and then I show the walkway coming back.

Here is the walkway as usual to Epcot.

The Disney Skyliner has been testing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but not here yet.

There is work still going on at the Disney Skyliner station.

This concept art has been here since construction started.

Security is where the green canopy is ahead. Friendship Boats are to the right.

I am not showing the security area, but we are approaching it now.

After security, there is a sign for park entry but there really isn’t anywhere else to go at this point.

There is a fence on the left side to separate guests who are arriving and departing.

There is a Passholder entrance but it is hard to see until getting to the touch points – passes weren’t being checked when I entered.

The World Traveller Store is just beyond the entry.

Looking back at the current entrance to the park via the International Gateway.

For now, it is really easy to come and go out the International Gateway if you are staying at the Epcot resorts or just wanting to walk to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and/or the BoardWalk area.

We will share more updates in the future from here!
