José Tiki Mug Releases at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto (Photos)

Hi everyone!

A new mug featuring José from Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room was released at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto yesterday! Wristbands began distributing at noon inside Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, with Trader Sam’s opening at 3:00 p.m. Here are photos from yesterday!

The José tiki mug costs $50.00 and comes with a choice of two drinks – one with alcohol, the other without. There is a limit of 2 per guest, while supplies last.

We sat outside and after finishing our drinks, picked up our José mugs. Here is a look at the front.

And a side look at José.

While drinks are not served in the mug, you can put a beverage inside.

The bottom says 1st Edition Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto.

There is a menu with the two drinks listed. One is the Manu Aloha, which includes Leblon Cachaça rum, pineapple, lime, mint and agave garnished with a lime wheel. The non-alcoholic drink is called Blame it on the Samba with Fever-Tree Ginger Beer, pineapple, lime, mint and agave garnished with a fresh orchid.

The drink is decent, our table enjoyed it.

There was a long line for guests waiting to pick up their mugs and drinks at the bar, but we sat and enjoyed them (and a Spikey Pineapple, my favorite Trader Sam’s drink).

I don’t know how long the mugs will last. We stayed at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort overnight so were able to easily head over to pick up the mug on the first day.
