11/8/10 Cinderella’s Holiday Wish, Castle Lighting – First of 2010!

Hi everyone!

We already brought you an update that included the first Osborne Light showing for 2010 (it was a cast member preview we were invited to).  Now we have the first Cinderella Castle lighting too in photos and a full video!

It was really great to see the castle lit again for the holidays.  It seemed a little too early a few days back, but it turned cold just at that time – at least chilly for Florida!  We've had temps as low as the 40's at night, which really helps with the holiday spirit (even if Christmas is still about 7 weeks away).  Tonight is the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!

Remember the first year of the Christmas lighting, when it started at dusk?  (and at that time, the Christmas tree was already standing). I have Christmas desktop wallpapers that include some of my favorite photos from that time!

A cast member pushes a cart models a Disney themed "snuggie".  She was selling Mickey and Minnie versions, as well as other blankets that aren't Disney themed:

Robert Olszewski was making an appearance at the Main Street Cinema shop.  As I left the shop, I had a cast member interview me about it (whether I liked the store, if I bought anything, had any contact with the cast members, etc.). I told her I liked it better when it was a theater.  She asked me "it was a theater?"  I explained to her what it was, and that she could still find it in Disneyland.

The Fairy Godmother comes out to help them decide what the castle should look like – but she says that Cinderella should make the decision:
