Epcot Gingerbread Village Includes Disney Cruise Line; Aulani; Eiffel Tower and Spaceship Earth

Hi everyone!

I felt a twinge of disappointment when the gingerbread house in Epcot’s Liberty Inn was discontinued this year, but something even better took it’s place. Head to the The Land pavilon and you’ll find an expansive Gingerbread Village that includes the Disney Magic ship and Disney’s Aulani Resort! Check out the photos and video, and you’ll also find a list of other displays around Walt Disney World (with links to photos/video) at the end of the article!

The Gingerbread Village debuted at The Land on December 2nd, several days after Thanksgiving.

We’d checked twice before it actually opened, and we weren’t sure quite where it would go. The display is set up near the Garden Grill Restaurant on the upper floor.

I’d love to know what the Spaceship Earth piece is made of, I thought at first it was one of the monorail toys! But since everything else is created, I’m sure it must be as well. And while the guidemap refers to this as a gingerbread village, the display is really a mash-up of Disney around the world – even putting in an Eiffel Tower and Leaning Tower of Pisa, which could refer to Adventures by Disney, Disney Cruise Line or Disneyland Paris.

The Disney Magic ship from the Disney Cruise Line is very impressive, down to the portholes and “Disney Magic” logo. It is the one gingerbread piece that is too close for hands to reach, so hopefully it lasts through the season.

Here is our video of the display!

Look closely and it appears that Rice Krispies have been used to create the greenery.

There is a working train on each of the two parts of the display.

Disney’s Aulani in Hawaii looks beautiful in gingerbread!

This looks like the Hong Kong Disneyland Castle, next to the Great Wall of China.

This one looks more like the Disneyland Castle.

Another look at both castles.

We left at dusk – the tree looks gorgeous at night, as always.

We’ve been covering all of the gingerbread and holiday displays across property! This was a nice change of pace for Epcot.
