11/4 Be Our Guest Restaurant Dinner Review – Deluxe Dining Experience For a Moderate Price

Hi everyone!

A couple of nights ago, Jeff and I went to the Magic Kingdom with friends. I'd not expected that we'd end up dining at Be Our Guest Restaurant, but we were fortunate to be able to get in! Here is our review with plenty of photos.

We've been inside Be Our Guest Restaurant probably a half dozen times before this, but had never gotten further than seeing the lobby and counter service area. The restaurant is gorgeous – the exterior reminds me of Forbidden Journey at Islands of Adventure, but the inside has a unique feel of it's own. Actually, each dining area of the restaurant offers a distinctive experience.

We'd shown you some of the exterior of Be Our Guest Restaurant a few months back, including the Be Our Guest sign that sits outside – as well as some of the interior on a previous update. Guests check in for their reservations just before the bridge lined with gargoyles that leads to the entrance. A friend of ours noticed that there isn't much room in the lobby for guests if it it is raining out (or very hot).

We also discuss our experience at Be Our Guest Restaurant on Mousesteps Weekly #27!

The first time we ever entered Be Our Guest, there was a line of servers waiting for the first guests to enter:

Inside, there is a beautiful window of Belle and her prince. Tapestries can be found around the interior of the restaurant, along with other pieces of artwork. Two minataurs flank the entrance to the ballroom.

We were seated only a couple of minutes after we arrived, and were thrilled that the West Wing was available. The Rose Gallery is only open for lunch, and we wanted a more intimate dining experience than the ballroom provides. It did take a while to get used to the darkness and thunder inside the West Wing, especially since it'd been sunny outside when we arrived. The West Wing has a slashed photo of the prince, which turns to the Beast when rose petals fall and the thunder rolls. It's a great effect.

Here are some photos of the West Wing, before we share our food photos and reviews. A few are taken with flash, because it's very dark and I didn't have a tripod to get a good photo otherwise.
