Disney’s Hollywood Studios Photo Update as Sorcerer’s Hat is Being Removed

Hi everyone!

The Sorcerer’s Hat is in the process of removal at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I know that there is some sadness from guests, especially those who have known only the hat. But for myself, I am glad to finally see the gorgeous Chinese Theater again from Hollywood Blvd. – it has been a long time. We also have some other photos from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, including new Star Wars drinking glasses with Disney characters!

Update 1/26 – we have a new post with photos from today!

I was very surprised to see Christmas still here and at Epcot today. It seems so late this year that it is coming down!

The tip of the hat has been removed.

PhotoPass photographers aren’t taking photos this way, but many guests were getting in last photos still with the hat.

Here is our video of the Sorcerer’s Hat from today.

Dream Builders signs on the walls.

What will the icon be now? Maybe the Earful Tower again.

Artwork and photos of the attractions at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are on the walls with “Show Your Disney Side” signage.

Lights, Motors, Action!

I took photos from all sides, since some views weren’t available before.

Famous Walt Disney Quote, “I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing – that it was all started by a mouse”.

Here are more views of the Sorcerer’s Hat as the tip is removed.

I am really looking forward to the Great Movie Ride changes as well.

The Trolley Car Cafe’ opens in early February. This is the newest Starbucks at Walt Disney World!

And Star Wars glasses have appeared with Darth Goofy, Jedi Mickey, Ewoks Chip and Dale, and Emperor Palpatine Stitch. These are real glass, and cost $12.95 each.

Here is one last look at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today as I walked to Epcot.
