12/6 Disney Parks Christmas Special/Parade Taping – Jonas Brothers, Steve Rushton and More

Hi everyone!

We spent about 11 hours total yesterday at the Magic Kingdom, arriving at 7am to take photos while being extras in the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade taping.  I even had to learn dance moves for the morning Jonas Brothers segment (fortunately several thousand others did as well).   Thank you to JeffLangeDVD for hosting my video of Steve Rushton!

If you are interested in photos from the first day of parade taping with Kris Allen and Yanni, you can find those here!   And thank you to those who shop Amazon from my site, as well as at JeffLangeDVD.com!

It was pretty chilly when we arrived, probably the low 50's – I know that won't get much sympathy from those up north, but it was cold to me!  Extra decorations were on Main Street, though the garland was still down for the taping  (I expect it's been put back up by now).

There was a lot of waiting around, maybe an hour or so on Main Street before we were brought up to the hub.

The flag pole had been moved:

The clock on the left of Main Street was covered with a wreath:

This is where we started out standing (everyone with a handkerchief for the number) – but as guests left (and many did, surprisingly not long after the Jonas Brothers did one take), we were able to move to an even better location.  The Jonas Brothers were actually going to be walking from Cinderella Castle to the hub stage while singing, and their main performance was at the hub.  But since that is when all of us had to dance, it was a better photo location at the front of the castle.
