2/27 Haunted Mansion Queue Update – Old Tombstones Are Back! Storybook Circus, Dooney & Bourke
Hi everyone!
We went to the Magic Kingdom yesterday for Kevin Yee's 40×40 meet, and re-visited both Mickey's Toontown Fair (via train) and the Haunted Mansion queue construction (via boat) to see if anything was different since a couple of days back. I'd taken photos and video of the new crypts at Haunted Mansion already, but now some of the old tombstones are returning! And Storybook Circus signs are now up by the Tomorrowland Speedway.

We rode the train as soon as we arrived. There was no work going on in either Mickey's Toontown Fair or the Haunted Mansion queue like there was a couple of days ago. We have photos and video from both! The video really is the best way to see what is going on with the demolition of Mickey's Toontown Fair. You can see through the scrim enough to see that the houses of Mickey and Minnie both appear to be gone now, but pictures don't pick it up as well as in person.
There was a Dooney & Bourke purse signing at the Magic Kingdom. They were promoting the 40th anniversary purses (which have been out for a while) and discounting the princess purses.
We went to ride the Haunted Mansion, we already have photos and video from the new projections inside (which should be temporary as the audio-animatronics are upgraded). I took a couple of photos through a crack in a door of where the Sea Captain is laying:
We rode the Liberty Belle, and the view from the dock was the same as last time:
I noticed that there were some tombstones that looked different before I even saw the writing on them:
"Dear Friend Gordon" and "Brother Dave" are now visible!
