Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort Features Local Food Trucks Daily

Hi everyone!

One of the fun aspects at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort is their support of local food trucks. We were at the resort for one night, and enjoyed visits to two popular area trucks.

The Yum Yum Truck arrived the first day around 10:00 a.m. Trucks set up around the lunch hours in front of this Flamingo Park sign. The Yum Yum Truck is an extremely popular cupcake truck, with reasonably priced, delicious cupcakes! The truck can be found occasionally at Walt Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports and at Walt Disney World sporting events (like the Walt Disney World Marathon) as well. The cupcakes often have interesting names, one of the newest being called “Smut Cake”, which is an amazing combination of Oreos, brownies and cookie dough.

 A newer area truck is the Tamale Co. truck, and they serve a variety of tamales. I’d never tried one before and it was wonderful! We look forward to seeing them again around town.

We hope the food trucks at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort are popular enough with guests to remain a daily event for years to come. Not only does it support local business, but it gives guests a taste of something different (reasonably priced).
