November 14, 2014 (Orlando) – Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort today announced it has received the coveted Five Diamond Award® by AAA—the only resort in the Orlando area to achieve this recognition.  Less than one-third of one percent of AAA Diamond Rated properties receive the prestigious Five Diamond Award designation.

“We are humbled to receive this designation and vote of confidence while establishing a loyal following of guests for this exciting destination,” said Thomas Steinhauer, regional vice president of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and general manager of Four Seasons Resort Orlando. “The AAA Five Diamond Award is a true testament not only to the incredible amenities our resort offers, but to our first-rate team of employees, who go above and beyond every day delivering exceptional guest service.”

Four Seasons Resort Orlando, which opened on August 3, is set amidst the palm-tree lined, gated Golden Oak community, developed by Walt Disney Imagineering, with its hallmark attention to magical place-making. Consisting of approximately 980 acres and set in the midst of a natural conservation area, the community serves as an oasis— close to all the action and entertainment nearby, yet with a feeling of seclusion. Four Seasons Resort Orlando offers five on-property restaurants including the rooftop Capa restaurant, recently named a AAA Four Diamond restaurant; the 18-hole Tranquilo Golf Club; an expansive Spa, and an adult-only pool plus a 5-acre “Explorer Island” waterpark. In addition, Four Seasons Resort Orlando offers the “Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & His Pals” character breakfast, complimentary transportation to the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, and a lobby level Disney Planning Center. Offering a 26-acre recreational paradise combined with connectivity to Walt Disney World, Four Seasons Resort Orlando provides guests with a very special destination experience.

About the AAA Diamond Rating System
AAA began field inspections of lodgings and restaurants in 1937. The early rating system evolved into the current Diamond Rating System for lodgings and restaurants. AAA’s professionally trained inspectors use published guidelines to evaluate properties as a service to members. AAA rates more properties than any other rating entity and is the only rating system that covers the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean using on-site professional evaluations guided by member priorities. AAA Approved lodgings and restaurants are assigned a rating of One to Five Diamonds. Less than one-third of one percent of AAA Diamond Rated properties receive the prestigious Five Diamond Award® designation.
