Disney Park and Resort Photo Updates

Disney Springs Photo Update for June 25th 2016, Including Coca Cola Store, Frontera Cocina & Art Smith’s Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine (All Coming Soon)

Hi everyone!

We stopped for an hour or so at Disney Springs yesterday, and I wanted to share some photos. We were mostly in the Town Center area, where restaurants and shops are opening on a regular basis (Frontera Cocina opens on Monday, June 27th).

The Coca Cola Store is scheduled to open this summer on the West Side.

Here is a view that also includes the upcoming Planet Hollywood Observatory, also scheduled for the summer.

Plants were being added to the upper deck of the Coca Cola Store.

Here is a look at the Planet Hollywood Observatory from the front.

Guests can take photos with a backdrop from Finding Dory at the AMC Theaters (this backdrop changes from time to time).

Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine restaurant is also opening this summer. If you are planning to arrive to Walt Disney World soon, make sure to set some time for the myriad of Disney Springs restaurants! According to the Disney Parks Blog, Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine will offer items such as Fried Green tomatoes with Shaved Country Ham, Iron Skillet Sweet Potatoes with Caramelized Sugar and his signature Fried Chicken and Doughnuts.

This is the back of the restaurant.

Chef Art Smith hails from Jasper Florida, and this looks to be a nod to that.

Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza is also set for summer.

This gives a better idea of location.

The restaurant is going up quickly behind the concept art.

Here is one side of the building, overlooking the springs.

Here is another angle of Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine.

The restaurant, as most others here, offers a lovely view of the springs.

The next restaurant to open is Frontera Cocina. It is a Mexican restaurant by Chef Rick Bayless

The menu for Frontera Cocina is up.

There are a variety of starters, salads, entrees and sides.

There is a quick service menu in back, including guacamole and chips as well as tacos and margaritas.

We stopped by Sprinkles to pick up some ice cream (it was over 90 degrees out, so a nice break).

Sprinkles employees were decorating cupcakes.

We split a 3 scoop sundae. The chocolate ice cream here is now a favorite of mine.

It wasn’t too crowded in the morning, although a line was forming when we left. I posted an article last month with information and a lot of photos of this location. Sign up for Sprinkles Perks to receive perks such as a free cupcake and more!

And in The Landing area, The Edison is coming along. It does not open until 2017.

I’m looking forward to checking out the new restaurants and shops this summer!
