Food & Wine Weekends at Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Kicks Off, Runs Through November 11th, 2018 (Preview)

Hi everyone!

We were invited to preview Food & Wine Weekends at Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek this past week, with Jeff attending the event for us. Food & Wine Weekends runs through November 11th, 2018, and offers a variety of different dining experiences to enjoy – from The Taste of Bull and Bear to Bar du Chocolat, Champagne Tasting, a Royal Tea and more. There is really something here for everyone. Bull and Bear is a top rated steakhouse in the Orlando area and La Luce also gets consistently excellent reviews, and this preview event was exactly what you’d expect from the Waldorf Astoria in terms of food and service. The best way to experience Food & Wine Weekends is to stay at either the Waldorf Astoria Orlando or the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek – they are very close to Disney Springs and Epcot, and on property prices here can be very reasonable during various dates. But you don’t have to stay, you can make the trip over for any event/s that interest you – days of the weekend and times are set for each offering. Here is a look at just some of what you’ll find at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek Food & Wine Weekends.

The Petite Filet of Beef and Stuffed Lobster Tail with Chasseur Sauce, Potato Pave and Fresh Argula Salad was Jeff’s favorite dish here and can be found at The Taste of Bull and Bear. Jeff called the lobster exceptional – he enjoyed everything, but lobster is one of his favorite foods and this is one of the best he’s had. The steak was outstanding too – no knife was needed to cut it.

Here is a sign talking about a couple of items from The Taste of Bull and Bear. This is part of a five course menu and the menu can be found at the link.

Jeff was also very surprised how much he enjoyed the Lasagne Napolinata from The Taste of La Luce. It was a perfect mixture of sauce and cheese, and this in particular was something he raved about after the event.

The Risotto Duo Di Mare has shrimp, scallops, saffron, English Peas, Oven Roasted Tomato, Reggiano Gremolata. This is also from The Taste of La Luce. Jeff likes all seafood and thought this was a solid dish as part of the La Luce menu.

This is the sign for The Taste of La Luce, which offers a 4 course menu.

He tried a couple of the sushi rolls that you can find here at The Taste of Zeta Asia. He said the sushi was better than most he’s had, and that theme went with many of the dishes he sampled.

This drink is called The Manifesto and includes Manifest Rye Whiskey, Manifest Barreled Gin and Pineapple Juice. This is the first photo before it was poured.

Dry ice finishes the cocktail, one of the creative drinks that the Waldorf Astoria creates. The cube is coffee flavored, so you get coffee flavor as the cube melts.

The Short Rib Bibimbap includes Short Rib, Fried Egg, Blanched Spinach, Namul with Japanese Rice and Gochujang Sauce. For Jeff, this was a unique item that he’d not normally order but he enjoyed the combination and it does have some spice to it from the sauce. You’ll find this at The Taste of Zeta Asia.

I won’t go into individual desserts because there are so many – each of the “The Taste of” meals offers different desserts. There are also desserts at The Royal Tea, Bar du Chocolat and more. Desserts are a highlight for the event, and Jeff brought some back also for me to taste. Honestly, each (of about 5) I tried was just as good as the next, just different.

These are all desserts, and so unique from anything I’ve seen elsewhere.

About Pop Culture is offered on Saturdays from 8pm – 10pm at the MYTH Bar, the offical information says: Try our home-made, fresh fruit popsicles, creamy organic ice pop and adult poptails! Choose from a variety of gourmet toppings, including hand-dipped chocolate, caramelized almonds, sweet coconut and chocolate vermicelli.

Remember when I said that each dessert was as good as the next? Actually, this chocolate cake was my favorite of what I tried. So if you see it at Bar du Chocolat, make sure to get one!

There are so many different cocktails and wines available.

Thank you to The Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek for having Jeff out! We will talk about his experience on our next Mousesteps Weekly YouTube Show and I will add it to the article then.
