Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival 2019 Beverage Preview (Including Orange Bird Sipper!)

Hi everyone!

The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival kicks off on March 6th, 2019! For the 7th year, Disney has offered food and beverage in the form of Outdoor Kitchens (in 2013 they were called Garden Marketplaces). It is hard to believe that food and beverage samples have been offered so long now, but each year this Festival component is more popular than the last. The Violet Lemonade started with 2013 and has been a yearly Festival favorite. New this year is an adorable Orange Bird sipper with a delicious drink inside. Here are a few highlights and our video interview about some of the beverage offerings!

First up is the Orange Bird sipper, we were given one during the media event and the Orange Cream Slushy was a huge hit. It is a creamy drink, not what you’d think of as a slush. I was told the drink will also be sold without the sipper. The Orange Bird sipper will be located at The Citrus Blossom, which is not far from Canada.

Here is our beverage offering interview video with Chelsea Florig (Food & Beverage Project Manager, Epcot) that runs through the items I am showing. It only shows a small amount of the dozens of beverages that will be available at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival!

The very popular Festival mainstay Violet Lemonade sits on a tray. You can find this at Pineapple Promenade.

I will mention there is some synergy here with food and merchandise in the form of Violet Lemonade merchandise, including a spirit jersey and ears.

We also have a merchandise video which includes these items, in an interview with Guest Experience Manager for Merchandise Will Dasso.

Back to more drinks! This Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea features Twinings of London tea with Tito’s Handmade Vodka in a mason jar. This is very refreshing on a hot day.

The beverage sans mason jar can also be purchased without alcohol and these will be available at Trowel & Trellis.

There is a Hard Cider Flight, and two of these ciders come from Florida breweries. One of these is 3 Daughters Brewing, which is out of St. Petersburg and has become very popular at Epcot festivals. I at first missed that these were ciders (I am not a beer drinker) and never got back to them during the preview – but I look forward to trying them at the Festival.

These are going to be found at the new Arbor at The Gardeners Terrace.

There is also a beer flight, and these are brewed for Epcot – so currently you will not find these beers elsewhere. 3 Daughters Brewing is represented here as well. You can find these at The Smokehouse in the courtyard area of the American Adventure pavilion.

And this is the Blood Orange Aqua Fresca (non-alcoholic) at the new Flavor Full Kitchen hosted by AdventHeath.

There are a total of 17 Outdoor Kitchens this year, along with other Festival specialty items. I look forward to checking the booths out next week!
