Epcot France Expansion & Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Construction Update w/Fountain Testing – September 22nd, 2020

Hi everyone!

The Epcot France expansion including Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is really shaping up, we even caught the Ratatouille fountain in partial action while returning from the International Gateway (later in the article). We don’t know when the expansion will open, including Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and La Crêperie de Paris, but there have been a lot of changes since our update almost two weeks ago. That includes a lot of pavement work.

Unlike our usual updates, we aren’t starting from the International Gateway but riding in from Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.

Here is our video:

It looks like gutters have been added to the buildings here since our last time through. And it is interesting to see the balcony open. I’ve not seen that before.

The fountain wasn’t testing yet, but a few minutes later it was and just keep scrolling for that.

Where the entrance to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be, the balcony above is black instead of grey now.

Here is a wider look at the buildings.

When the red booths arrived in July, they were wrapped like this and then unwrapped after that. Maybe due to the painting they are wrapped again.

This will be the entrance to the attraction, just like in Walt Disney Studios Paris.

It looks like a sign will be hung here.

I don’t usually catch the Gusteau’s sign too easily from the Skyliner due to glare, but there wasn’t much yesterday.

The walkway pavement is being worked on and is looking really nice.

La Crêperie de Paris will be on the right hand side, a table service and quick service restaurant.

We showed the La Crêperie de Paris sign close up last time through.

The landscaping doesn’t look too different than last time.

Here is a look from the International Gateway before heading back.

And always I like to show the rats in the railings. There are quite a few rat designs through the expansion.

La Crêperie de Paris.

The fountain is ahead and was testing.

I didn’t realize until going through my photos that the fountain was going.

At least one of the champagne bottles was working. It is fun to see the details taking shape.

This archway has been of interest to me as it has been being built, and it looks about done.

The design in the balconies looks like rats, and of course the fountain is Ratatouille themed.

Now we are heading to Disney’s Riviera Resort and away from Epcot. We have a Park Pass for Epcot early next week and will take the Disney Skyliner then as well.

I like the whimsical rooftops.

I am hoping the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure sign will go in soon. And if anything has changed, I will post another update next week. I look forward to this area of Epcot opening! Check out our update from almost two weeks ago for how much this area has changed.
